Beauty/Facial Tips Neutrogena Eliminating Blackhead cleanser (a great, easy exfoliator) and it doesn't burn -- has salycic acid in it.
Neutrogena Eliminating Blackhead astringent -- this is the key one,
every day morning and night. Has glycolic acid which used to only be
available via dermatologists.
NO MOISTURIZER -- if a model has acne, she doesn't need a moisturizer, except maybe around the eyes and on lips.
Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser/mask -- good to rotate as an every other day cleanser.
Clearasil Acne Treatment with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. Here is the extra
clincher. Can either be used on just acne prone areas OVER the
astringent just at night OR for extra exfoliating and pulling
dirt/blemishes out, morning and night over entire face. I usually can
only do it about 3 days and then my face is super tight and clear. If I
could do it longer, probably would work like the Glycolic peels in the
dermo's office.
The best, cheap eyecream –
SkinSimple (actually made by Elizabeth Arden) available at WalMart for
$10. Avoid eyelash area so it doesn't get into your eyes, especially if
your eyes are sensitive, as with all eyecreams.
Other helpful things: Must be on a multi-vitamin with ZINC. Zinc really
helps with acne, can even consider taking a zinc tab or sucking on sinc
lozenges (which has the extra benefit of counteracting colds).
Aloe Vera Juice – really helps things heal well and great for your
system. Every day 4 ounces preferably with Chloraphyll (1 tablespoon).
Change your pillowcase every week.
Wear your hair back – including bangs – to bed.
Check your gel/conditioner – could be too oily, especially if your breakouts are around the face and bang area only.
Always wash your face immediately after working out/sweating.
Do not touch your face during the day. Learn to keep your hands away.
Dairy makes some people break out as they have an allergic reaction and
do not know it. Try curbing this if you are breaking out.
Definitely hang up caffeine except green tea caffeine which actually
has a relaxation effect over other caffeines and green tea is excellent
for your skin.
